Masvingo- Award winning gospel singer Margaret Mwamuka has embarked on free worship galas to be held throughout the country and Masvingo is set to host the second event after the inaugural one in Mutare tomorrow (Friday) at Utate Gardens.
"We are going to hold our second worship gala in Masvingo this Saturday at Charles Austin Theatre from 3pm and we are inviting all those who want to worship the Lord because this is a non-denominational event. The worship galas are inspired by the traditional biras and pungwes that used to be held in the country before and during the liberation struggle, even today its only that on these ones we will be focusing on the gospel and preaching the word of God," said Bulawayo based Mwamuka.
She also said the worship galas are being held under the theme, 'To highly lift up God' and their next port of call will be Gweru at the Theatre on October 27 followed by Victoria Falls on November 3 at ZAOGA in Chinotimba Township before winding up this year's galas in Bulawayo on Novemeber 17 at Family of God Church along Jason Moyo avenue.
Several upcoming gospel artists will perform during the Masvingo worship gala which is going to be an annual event. The artists who have confirmed attendance include Mwamuka the organiser, Prosper Macharika, Dory Mashungupa, Clayton Stimas, Cjay and Admire Nago.
Mwamuka called upon all worshippers irrespective their religious affiliations to come and listen to the word of God being spread in a different manner at the Charles Austin Theatre.
If the response on the social media is anything to go by the event is likely to be oversubscribed as many people are keen to participate in the free worship gala.
