    Thieves rob Beatrice farmer of 30 goats


    BEATRICE- A Beatrice farmer lost 31 goats and 12 sheep on Thursday last week to seven robbers who pounced on her farm and assaulted her two herd boys.
    Mashonaland East Police spokesperson Inspector Tendai Mwanza confirmed the incident which occurred at Miriam Chirikure's Plot 3 Welma Farm in Beatrice.
    On August 30 2018, in the early hours of the morning, Marcus Sibanda and Previous Moyo who are herd boys at Chirikure'splot were asleep in a cabin when seven men approached them asking for water to cool their car engine.
    The two refused to open the door but later gave in to the suspected robbers' persistence.
    When Sibanda opened the door, two of the suspected thieves dragged both of them outside the cabin and tied their hands from the back. The robbers assaulted the two with a stick before they loaded the goats and sheep into a truck and drove away.
