    Shurugwi miner fatally stabbed with spears

    SHURUGWI – Tatenda Moyo, a miner at North Impalili 22 Mine was fatally stabbed to death on Tuesday last week by suspects who allegedly wanted to forcibly enter his mine.
    Four suspects including Stephen Banga from Chigova Village under Chief Banga are alleged to have stabbed Moyo with spears.
    Banga appeared before Shurugwi resident magistrate Sangster Tavengwa and was remanded in custody to September 21 2018.
    It is the State case that on Tuesday last week, at North Impalili 22 Mine, Hidden Treasure in Shurugwi, Banga and four accomplices who are still at large found Moyo and his syndicate searching for gold ore.
    Banga and his team wanted to force themselves into the mine shaft and remove Moyo and his team. Moyo refused and this did not go down well with Banga and his team who then produced spears and started stabbing Moyo all over the body leading to his death.
