    Shurugwi man needs $14 000 for operation in India

    SHURUGWI- A Shurugwi man who has an 11cm long abdominal growth which is causing excruciating pain to him is appealing for $14 000 to enable him to go for an operation in India.
    Sipambaniso Magidi (50) who was diagnosed with abdominal liposarcoma in 2015 needs to go to India. Doctors in Zimbabwe and South Africa said there was little they could do.
    A report compiled by Erhardt Gerber a principal interpreter from a local hospital in India said that there is an opportunity to help him if the operation is done at once.
    "Fifty-year-old male with local recurrent retroperitoneal sarcoma found inoperable in 2015. Now present with increasing abdominal pain and swelling, clinically has leg Oedema and huge abdominal mass measuring 25cm x 20 cm x 23 cm. He can be treated but it is a matter of urgency before his condition changes or the mass grows again," said Gerber.
    Magidi went to South Africa where he was told that they is nothing Groote Schuur hospital can do for him.
