    Rutendo High teacher elected Lions Club president

    GWERU – Maridzo Chihambakwe, a Maths teacher at Rutendo High School in Redcliff has been elected the new president of Lions Club Redcliff.
    Chihambakwe who takes over from Ella Mutengo was officially installed on Saturday during a colourful ceremony held at Redclff in Kwekwe.
    Chihambakwe will serve as the president for Lions Club.
    In an interview with The Mirror Chihambakwe said that she is humbled to be elected president of a humanitarian organization and will work hard to serve the less privileged.
    "I am humbled to lead an organisation which seeks to serve humanity, this has been my dream for a long time and l will work to serve the less privileged.
    I joined Lions Club International a year and half ago and it is such an honour that club members have recognised my passion for the less privileged and gave me this post. There are other members who joined before me who haven't led the club so this is a big honour for me," said Chihambakwe .
