GUTU - Moses Zuva (46) from Shadawa Village, Eastdale in Gutu has been arrested and remanded in custody after Police allegedly found him with the remains of his father who died in the 90s'.
The remains of Haurovi Mafuva were discovered in the accused's bedroom by Paul Zuva, a relative who then reported the matter to Police. When quizzed by the Police, Zuva allegedly said he dug out the remains because he wanted to stay with his father.
The accused had earlier told Paul that he (the accused) had raised his father from the dead.
The matter was heard by Gutu resident magistrate Victor Mohammed on Friday last week and the accused was remanded in prison in order for doctors to carry out mental examination on him.
It is in the State case that Zuva went to the grave yard on September 13, 2018 where he dug the grave and collected his father's bones.
The accused told the court that his father instructed him to reburry him.
He took the bones to his bedroom and kept them there.
Paul noticed that Moses had bones of a dead person in his bedroom and asked him why he was keeping them and Zuva allegedly said he had raised his father from the dead.
