ZVISHAVANE - Tanyaradzwa Tungamidza (13), a brilliant pupil is appealing to well-wishers for money to have skin-grafting done on her.
Tanyaradzwa is from Shiku Village under Chief Chikuni in Zvishavane.
She suffers from a rare skin disease and the operation is asking for $US40 000. Only $215 has been raised so far for the operation that needs to be carried out in India.
The 13 year old has been staying with her grandmother Cecelia Tungamidza for the last 12 years after her mother allegedly dumped her when she was only two months old.
The grandmother said her granddaughter is stigmatised at school and she frequently falls ill because of the skin problem. Although she is bright in class she is distracted by stigma.
    Well-wishers can call the grandmother on 0773 564 468.
