    Chiredzi men nabbed with TelOne copper cables

    CHIREDZI – Police in Chiredzi has nabbed three suspects found with TelOne copper cables with a value of $1 740.
    The three are Solomon Chapungu (37), Parirenyatwa Chikati (43) and Kudakwashe Mushinyi (37) and they appeared in court on Monday this week and they were denied bail application.
    The matter has been refered to the regional court and will be heard on August 30.
    Sources said Police nabbed them after a tip-off from members of the public. They raided them at their alleged hideout at South Eastern College where they burn off the insulation rubber from the copper.
    Sources said that Police found 174kgs of copper, a Toyota Probox used for ferrying looted cables, a hacksaw and three pliers were recovered.
