Nyajena music group appeals for sponsorship

NYAJENA- Nyajena based gospel outfit in Masvingo Rural, Vimbainashe Choral Group is appealing for sponsorship to showcase their act on a national and global stage.
The group is struggling in taking their act to a national or regional stage and has been confined to performing at weddings, funerals, fund raising dinners, memorial services and church services in Nyajena.
The 12 member group was formed in 2016 with the aim of encouraging youths to desist from drugs, prostitution, but engage in entrepreneurship through preaching and music.
"We formed the group after realising that many youths were living in despair, we sing and preach at different events; however funding and sponsorship have been the major hindrances to realise our dream," said Jeremy Banda who is the group's manager.
The group comprises of Tenderoyaishe Masara, Moses Kabungaidze, Moses Mugova, Wayne Dovi, Emmanuel Dope, Lester Sibanda, Simbarashe Musiwago, Obrien Williams, Anyway Utete and Abel Chikaunda.
Vimbainashe Choral Group has however, been hogging Nyajena entertainment circles since February 2018 when they dropped their debut 8 track album titled Jesu Ndakapikira.
The songs on the album are Mweya wangu, Havana Kufanira, Hezvo Muka, Muribwe Rangu, Kuronga Kwenyu Baba, Jesu Wakapfava and Ndosangana Sei Na Jesu.
"We are eager to perform at different events in the country, those who want to engage can do so at affordable prices," added Banda.
