HARARE – The Mirror continues to climb up the ladder in media readership surveys conducted by the Zimbabwe All Media Products Survey (ZAMPS) with the report for the first six months of the year released last week showing that the paper is by far the country's most preferred in terms of local news.
The Mirror which emerged into the national league of newspapers in 2017 has grown stronger with statistics showing that it has since gained into the Midlands market with a 1% share compared to well established newspapers like Sunday News that has 1%, Umthunywa that has no rating, Daily News on Sunday that has no rating and The Standard that has 4%.
Mirror consultant, Matthew Takaona welcomed the results and attributed them to a dedicated and focussed team. He expressed the optimism that the market share will even be bigger in the second half of 2018.

Its market share in the province has jumped to 14% closing the gap on the leader to just 1%. The leader is the Sunday Mail with a 15% rating in the province.
