    Chief Zimuto dies one week after installation

    ZIMUTO – Newly appointed 94-year-old Chief Zimuto, born Mhumhi Makusha Mapfumo has died.
    He died exactly seven days after his inauguration on July 27, 2018. He was inaugurated on July 20.
    His son Stephen Makusha confirmed the death to The Mirror.
    "My father suffered chest pains and dizziness just a few days after his installation as new Chief Zimuto. He was a good man. We have lost a great figure in the family as he was a hardworking, firm and friendly man," said Stephen.
    Makusha did his primary education at Nhangwi Primary School and standard 6 at Zimuto High school in 1963. Makusha died at his son's house in Mucheke in Masvingo on Friday night. He lived in Zimuto and survived on farming before he was installed as Chief Zimuto in 2018.
    Makusha leaves behind nine children and 12 grandchildren.
     The funeral was attended by the Minister of State for Masvingo, Josiah Hungwe, Provincial administrator Fungai Mbetsa,Chief Fortune Charumbira, several other chiefs, village heads and Government officials from various institutions.
