    Beitbridge to launch culture week


    BEITBRIDGE- Beitbridge District is launching its culture week tomorrow (Friday, August 24).
    The launch will take place at Beitbridge Culture Village, Mpande in ward 12 and it will take place under the theme; Culture; a tool for building communities.
    Beitbridge District Administrator Kiliboni Ndou announced the news during the installation of Headman Tshikwelengwe last Friday.
    Beitbridge Arts and Culture officer Cossam Zulu told The Mirror later that 500 people were expected to attend the Culture Week and some of the highlights of the event include traditional dance, poetry and dance, art and craft and herbal food exhibitions.
    "There will be displays of Venda, Tshangani and Sotho culture. Beitbridge boasts of cultures that are still intact in terms of practices," said Zulu.
    Zulu said the annual event will be held for the second time in Beitbridge, with the inaugural one having been held last year.
