The donation was made at a ceremony held at Gweru fire station last week. The function heard that the tender has a long lifespan if handled well.

"I believe this truck is a state of the art truck considering its fixtures. What interested me the most is its carrying capacity and l am told that if it is well maintained it has a long life span.
"I would also want to applaud GCC fire department. l have been told about the great work you do in and around Gweru. I understand you are always swift to respond to any fire emergency call. Your reaction to emergency calls is good, and I encourage you to even do better," said Ncube.
Gweru City fire trucks attend emergency cases in as far away places as Kwekwe, Gokwe, Mvuma, Chivhu, black spots at Boterekwa and any other areas in and around Gweru.
