    Miss Independence Masvingo marks 3 years in style

    MASVINGO-Miss Independence Masvingo Chapter celebrated its third edition in style when the 2018 winners converged in the ancient city and cashed in their accommodation vouchers at Flamboyant and Chevron Hotels where they spent the whole weekend booked with their families.
    The winners, Monalisa Tsoro (20), Elisa Mageza, Tecla Mudavanhu (21) were voted Miss Independence, 1st and second princess respectively, Tanatswa Murinye (20) was the lucky draw winner as she won through the ruffle system as her name was picked from a container with all the contestants' names., Lawful Gudyanga was voted Miss Personality while last years' winner Trish Sibanda was voted Miss Youth.
    "We are proud to be sponsoring culture through modelling, we managed to host four out of the six winners together with their families courtesy of our partners, Regency Group and the State represented by Minister of State for Masvingo Province Josiah Hungwe," said Gayly Mhonderwa MGM Modelling Agency director and former Miss Tourism.
    "Masvingo is Zimbabwe's cultural capital and as one of the major players in the country, it is our responsibility to engage society and promote cultural events," said Edson Mudiwa Zvogbo the managing director of Regency Group.
    Miss Independent and Miss Heroes modelling competitions began in 2016 and the main objective is to promote culture particularly through the girl child.
    "We had a wonderful time, our families enjoyed and we learnt a lot about culture, it is an honour to be part of the movement," said Monalisa Tsoro.
