MASVINGO - Tichamupei Comfort Nyandoro, a teacher at Mutatiri Primary School who stays in Masvingo has come together with 23 authors from different parts of the country to publish a collection of poems in a book titled Mupakwa Werwendo.
The book was published by Progressive Publishers in Bulawayo last week.
Nyandoro, a famed writer who has produced some of Masvingo's first performing poets has three poems published in the book and these are  Wanano, Vavuyi and Muchenjeri wekumabvazuva.
Wanano delves into challenges faced by couples in marriages; Vavuyi tackles conflicts that are common between mothers-in-law and their daughters-in-law and Muchenjeri urges youth to heed advice from elders if they are to avoid trouble in their lives.
"I am happy and inspired to see my poems being chosen for publication among Zimbabwe's budding writers. It is an achievement which means a lot to me.
"Wanano explores the many reasons why people get into marriages; Muchenjeri Wekumabvazuva is the ill-advised youth who shun advice and gets into trouble while Vavuyi is about the internecine battles between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law", said Nyandoro.
This is the second book in which Nyandoro's poems have been published with the first one being  Woman exceed which came out in June 2017.
Nyandoro did her diploma in education at Morgenster Teachers College, an Honours degree in Early Childhood Development (ECD) and a master's degree in ECD at Great Zimbabwe University.
