Gov auditors descend on 142 Buhera schools

MURAMBINDA - The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is going to audit 142 primary and secondary schools in Buhera in the next three weeks, The Mirror has established.
The programme is to ensure that all schools that have not been audited since 2015 are audited.
Buhera District Schools Inspector, Godfrey Chimbwanda told The Mirror in an interview this week that 11 auditors are in the district for that mission and they have started their work this Monday.
Chimbwanda said some schools have not been audited for a long time and said audits were important for transparency and progress of the school.
"The reason why it is important for schools to be audited is that it gives assurance to the operation of schools, and it helps us understand why some schools are developing more than others as audits reveal the way funds are used," said Chimbwanda.
