CHIVHU - About 20 Zaoga congregants held a clean-up campaign in Chivhu town on Saturday.
The congregants who were from the Zaoga Regions 1 and 2 in Chivhu, including their pastors, picked up litter on part of the  Harare- Masvingo Highway and along Cloete Street.
Zaoga Region 2 Pastor Stephen Simango said the campaign was a success.
"Our aim as a church is to walk on litter-free Chivhu streets. We achieved our goal of leaving the streets smart and admirable," he said.
Pastor Simango said it was the church's first time to carry out a clean-up campaign.
The clean-up was held in partnership with the Environmental Management Agency (EMA) and Chikomba Rural District Council.
An elder in the church Joshua Tarwekuona, who was part of the campaign, said he hoped the church will make other clean-up in future.
