ZVISHAVANE- Zvishavane gospel diva Attalia Nsingo Parehwa has launched her 4th album titled Ndakasarudza which has 12 tracks.
The album was launched at a colourful function held at the YA FM Radio Park on Tuesday last week. Zvishavane Ngezi aspiring candidate Lewis Matutu sponsored the function to the tune of US$500 and gracing the occasion was gospel artist Praise Goveia, Gamuchirai Magadzire, Sandra Chirenje and YA FM presenter Admire Nago.
Speaking on behalf of the Minister of Sports, Arts and Recreation Raymond Kazembe, Midlands provincial Arts Culture and Heritage Officer Reward Shockson said, 'While in most cases a prophet is without honour among his own people, it is different for Attalia who has a legion of fans in Zvishavane and is also growing a fan base around the country', he said.
Kazembe said his Ministry realises the importance of infrastructure in the promotion and development of the arts and culture sector in the country. He said arts are an important vehicle of communication that cuts across racial, social, cultural and economic divide due to its subtle voices of universality. He urged the public to shun pirated music and buy original and genuine music.
Kazembe bought the new CD at US$500. He came second after Parehwa's fellow Gospel Artist Praise Goveia who bought it at $550 while Zvishavane business woman Melody Tsiga popularly known as Mai Isheanopa bought the same disc at $200.
