    Nyashanu High tops Buhera O level results



    • RCZ schools dominate district

    BUHERA – Nyashanu High registered the best O level results for Buhera District as Reformed Church of Zimbabwe (RCZ) schools dominated the top places, according to an analysis released by District Schools Inspector Godfrey Chimbwanda.
    Nyashanu attained a pass rate of 80,42% with 17 of its 143 candidates attaining at least 5As' each. Another RCZ-run school, Makumbe High came second with a pass rate of 78,48% but had 25 students getting at least 5As' and better.
    Makumbe had 158 students who sat for the November 2017 Zimsec exams.
    Murambinda B High which is a peri-urban school came third with a pass rate of 41.3%. Five of the 124 students at the school got at least 5As'.
    The district's average pass rate stood at 19.64% and it dropped from the 2016 pass rate of 23.24%.
    On number four is Muzokomba High and the school has got 6 students with 5As and above. Murambinda Government which is an urban school is at number 5 with a pass rate of 27.82% and one student with 5As. Munyira High which is at number six has 24.39% pass rate and has no student with five As. Mutiusinazita High at number 7 has a pass rate of 23.93% pass rate and has got three students with 5As or more.
    Madzivire High at number 8 has a pass rate of 23.29% and no students with 5As. Muchuva which is at number 9 has 22.67% pass rate with one student with 5As or more. Betera at number 10 has a pass rate of 22.45% and one student with 5As.
    The other schools in the top 20 are Hande (11); St Johns (12); St Bernards (13); Kandenga (14); Vhiriri (15); Murasa (16); Murwira (17); Gosho (18); Bangure (19) and Buhera 20.
