    $30 000 Philipsdale Clinic to be commissioned this month

    CHIKOMBA -  Chikomba Rural District Council which is on a drive for a health for all will commission the just completed $30 000 Philipsdale Clinic in Ward 1 this month.
    Philipsdale will serve people from A1 and  A2 Charter Estate Farms.
    The clinic which is located in Featherstone along Masvingo - Harare Highway which has the highest prevalence rate of road accidents has admission capacity of four males, six females and two more females in the maternity ward.
    Chikomba RDC CEO Luckson Mutara confirmed the developments. He said construction of the clinic started in 2013 and became operational in February 2016. However, there are some buildings that are still to be completed and they include staff accommodation which will house 4 staffers and some toilets.
    "The demand of services at this Clinic is very high and we have had to transfer four nurses from other clinics in the area in order to cope with the huge workload," said Mutara.
    The clinic comprises of a male and female ward, post natal, maternity, consultation room, examination room and dispensary and outpatients department.
