CHIKOMBA – Kadoma Land Development, one of the several land development companies operating in Chivhu  has given six chiefs in Chikomba District a free residential stand each.
The Mirror got confirmations of the donations from several chiefs but the hurdle for the traditional leaders now is that they are not able to get funds to develop the stands.
The Mirror understands that the six chiefs received 200 square metre residential stands at Highview, high density suburb.
The chiefs who have benefitted include chiefs Kareya, Senator Musarurwa (Enos Masakwa), Chivese (Thomas Makambe), Mtekedza (Andrew Zhakata), Neshangwe (Conellius Dhangwa) and Nyoka (Musafare
    Matizha).
The chiefs who spoke to The Mirror expressed great appreciation to the company for the donations.
"Yes, I can confirm that we were given free residential stands at Highview (Charuma) some months ago by Kadoma Land Development but the stands are lying idle because we have no money to develop them. We appreciate the company for acknowledging traditional leaders in the community with such a gesture," said a chief who declined to be named.
