Prophetess Makandiwa gives Zvish prisoners early Xmas treat

ZVISHAVANE - It was pomp and fanfare at Zvishavane Prison when Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa, represented by Pastor Simbarashe Duncan gave an early Christmas treat  to the inmates.
There was a surprise Christmas party offered through Ruth's Agape Family Care initiative that focuses on giving a hand to the down trodden and needy members of the society.
Pastor Duncan gave inmates a rare treat as he delivered food from Chicken Inn, drinks and books.
Duncan said that he was sent by the church leader Prophet Makandiwa and wife Ruth to extend a hand to the inmates as it was in their heart to share with the seemingly lost and forgotten members of society.  Duncan encouraged inmates to make use of income generating skills they are getting at the prison when they come out.
There was fun as there was music provided by the Prison Choir and Zimdance Hall performers from the prison  inmates.
"Being in prison does not mean that someone has no hope anymore. Inmates must use the time and start to re-organise their lives and give their lives to Jesus so that he leads them to a better beginning in life," said Pastor Duncan.
Inmates were blessed with daily devotional booklets "Life-Lighter", from Prophet  Makandiwa.
Head prisoner Elijah Mateya was very ecstatic and applauded both Government and church for giving inmates such a rare treat that never existed in prisons in the past.
