Gutu registrar ordered to pay 3 beasts for dating married woman

GUTU – Paul Chingwaru, a Government registrar at Mpandawana in Gutu has been ordered to pay three beasts for dating Stanley Mushowe's wife.
The ruling was given by Chief Gutu, Amon Edmond Masanganise after he heard the case two weeks ago.
Chingwaru did not refute the allegations when The Mirror sought his comment. He argued that Theresa Marede, an agriculture teacher at Cheninga Secondary School in Gutu was divorced and therefore he was not guilty of snatching Mushowe's wife.
Chingwaru directed The Mirror to Marede for comments and Marede also confirmed that she had a relationship with Chingwaru. She however, told The Mirror that although she had two children with Mushowe, she had never been married to him.
"Mushowe did not pay a cent to my parents and we have no wedding so where is the marriage? We were merely cohabiting and we never stayed together since 2013," said Marede.
Marede also confirmed that she has a child with Chingwaru although the two are not married.
The Mirror is told that Mushowe paid for Marede's fees at the teachers' college but the latter refuted the claims.
