    Buhera’s headman N’ombeyarara dies


    MURAMBINDA – The man leading one of the biggest traditional areas in Buhera, Headman N'ombeyarara born Mutongi Tarwira Muchuweni has died.
    He died last week on Wednesday at the age of 84. He was laid to rest on Saturday at his homestead in N'ombeyarara Village under Chief Makumbe.
    His son, Big Muchuweni (56) described the death as a big loss to the family and the people of N'ombeyarara. 
    Buhera District Administrator Freeman Mavhiza said Muchuweni was a fair and transparent leader who always stood for his people. He was installed as a substantive headman in February 2002 and had 67 village heads under his jurisdiction.
    The late headman Ngombeyarara was a member of the ZCC Mbungo and at the time of his death was an elder who had his church centre that he was leading.
    He is survived by his wife, 10 children, 35 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
    MP William Mutomba, Zanu PF Central committee member Saul Nzuma and Chief Makumbe attended the funeral.local news
