    Street kid releases album

MASVINGO –Ronald Macheme (14) aka Ronnie a street kid in Masvingo CBD has released a four track dancehall album entitled Pasina Machira which mainly dwells on the trials and tribulations of children living in the streets.
Ronnie who doubles up as an airtime vendor says he is inspired by Soul Musaka popularly known as Soul Jah Love although he mixes his songs with gospel and dancehall.
Ronnie added that he recorded his album by accident as he had no intention of doing that since he was not aware that there is a studio in Masvingo.
"One day I went to Cherub Media studio to supply some carpets which I also sell and that is when I bumped into other artists recording their music. I pleaded with the directors to allow me to try my luck since I already had some composed songs and they allowed me to do so and for that I would like to pay tribute to Gandidze and Nhariswa for giving me this chance and believing in me" said Macheme.
The album consists of four tracks titled Pasina Machira, Denga, Handife and Mwana wenyu. Pasina Machira is a song which talks about the street life and how street kids survive and what they face in their day to day living. Handife has a similar message on how street kids survive even though they eat from the bins and how one has to be strong no matter what comes in life. Mwana Wenyu is about the help all street children yearn for. In an interview with the Mirror Cherub Media Group Director Terrence Gandidze said that they are going to do a promotional concert for Macheme this month.
"We want to do a promotional concert, we are calling for donors and well wishers who want to partner with us in promoting and supporting  this talent."
Gandidze added that they are going to shoot two videos for the songs Pasina Machira and Denga next week which were produced by Welcome Nhariswa one of the directors at CMG.
