    Robbers in court for stealing alcohol, cash from Nemamwa


    NEMAMWA- Two suspected robbers who broke into a bottle store at Nemamwa Business Centre and stole alcohol worth $273 and cash have appeared before a Masvingo Magistrate.
    Silent Chenjekwa (21) and Brine Chikodza (19) both of New Stands, Nemamwa Growth Point in Masvingo Rural appeared before Magistrate Takawira Mugabe facing robbery charges.
    On July 23 this year and at around 10pm, Portia Chirambamuriwo (35), left Makasva Bottle Store locked and went to her place of residence. Chenjekwa and Chikodza allegedly proceeded to the bottle store and forced the door open using an unknown object. The two gained entry and stole $80 cash, three crates Castle Lager quarts, three crates Black Label quarts, three crates Castle Lite Lager, three crates Lion Lager quarts, one 750ml Whisky bottle, one 750 Vodka bottle, 8x20 packs of Remington Gold tobacco and 2x10 packs Lion match boxes.
    The matter was reported to the Police and investigations led to the arrest of the two. A 1x10 Lion match pack and 1x20 Remington Gold tobacco pack worth $4 were recovered.
    Magistrate Mugabe remanded the two for continuation of trial.
