Chikomba CEO dismisses accusations of nepotism

CHIVHU - An employee who recently resigned from Chikomba Rural District Council where he was a herdboy has accused the Chief Executive Officer, Luckson Mutara of pushing him out so that he could employ his relative.
Mutara however, vehemently refuted the allegations when The Mirror called him for a comment.
He said that Garikai Kanjanda who was employed in a higher grade and earning a high salary was looking after a few cattle at the council farm and there was therefore a misnomer between his salary and the work that he was doing.
He said as a result, Kanjanda had to be transferred to Sadza Growth Point where there were duties that matched the grade and salary that he was earning.
However, Kanjanda who resigned from council last month told The Mirror that he was removed from the council farm at Singleton in a huff. He said that he was taken to Sadza and given the job title; sanitary technician when he had no clue of what that job entails.
He alleged that his position back at the farm was taken over by Ronald Nyika who he alleged is related to the CEO.
Efforts to get a comment from Nyika were fruitless.
