    10 ZANU PF Beatrice youth in court for kidnap

    CHIKOMBA - 10 ZANU PF youths from Beatrice near Harare have appeared at the Chivhu Magistrates Court facing allegations of kidnapping two persons on two different occasions.
    The youth accused the first complainant Japhet Moyo (52) of Gilstone in Beatrice of hindering the allocation of stands to them.
    They accused the second complainant Denias Mukarakate of opposing the youth's project to open a truck inn.
    Magistrate Fadzai Mtombeni heard the cases.
    The accused are Lincoln Matare, Harrison Hare, Matsangura, Norest Marimbi, Chrispen Mukaro, Tapfuma Chogugudza, Levison Bwanyashuro, Carlos Zvomuya and Marvellous Tsitsi Tafireyi.
    The State said on July 12 2016, Moyo by a young person he could not identify summoning him to attend a ZANU PF meeting and he refused saying he was not aware of the meeting. The man returned later in the company of the accused persons who were in a white pick up double cab and forced Moyo into the truck and drove him to the gathering where he was forced to sit in the middle of a group of people.
    They only released the complainant after three hours.
    On the second count, the accused allegedly kidnapped Denias Mukarate for hindering allocation of stands to youths. They forced him into their vehicle and drove him away before releasing him later.
    Police reports were made in both cases.
    It appeared for defence case and will appear on 14 September for ruling.
