    Veteran Gutu school head dies


    GUTU – A Renowned veteran educationist and retired head who worked at various schools in Gutu, Patrick Chenjerai Mushangwe has died. He was 70.
    Mushangwe died last Friday at Gweru General Hospital and was laid to rest at his homestead in Gutu at Makore Village under Chief Chisvino on Sunday.
    He died of diabetes.
    The deceased served the Ministry of Education for 49 years, 29 as a teacher and 20 as a headmaster.
    He started as a teacher at Gurajena Primary school in 1968 and taught at Gutu United Primary before joining Gutu CPS in 1979 where he was a deputy head.
    He was transferred from Gutu CPS Primary to Chamisa in Gutu where he became a school head up to the time of his retirement.
    The deceased is survived by his wife Marceline Mushangwe, seven children and three grandchildren.
