    Robbers in Police uniform terrorise Buhera


    BUHERA- Two unarmed robbers moving around in Police uniform and flashing Police identities are allegedly terrorising villagers in Buhera.
    A report made at Bhidhiri Police Station indicate that they pitched up at a homestead one night recently and accused one of the sons who had just arrived that he stole money from his employer in Rusape.
    They searched the house and stole a cellphone worth $65 plus $75 in cash. The incident happened over the Heroes holidays.
    The complainant in the case is Obey Chirozva (41) and his son Oscar who resides at Chirozva homestead, Zinhanga Village under Chief Nyashanu.
    Acting Manicaland Province Police spokesperson Sgt Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed the robbery saying investigations are underway and said the police are appealing to the public to help them in arresting the culprits.
    The accused person in Police uniform flashed a Police identification card to the complainant and said that they had followed the complainant's son Oscar from Rusape because he was suspected to have stolen cash at Chigora, his work place.
    The description of the robbers is similar to another one given by a family from Tendayi Village, Chiendambuya that was robbed Paul Mapfumo of $4 and $93 cash from Obey Mapfumo plus an Ecocash transfer of $243, five T-shirts, two jean trousers, one red jacket and Samsung cell phone which is blue in colour. Total value stolen is $415 and nothing was recovered by August 7, 2017.
