    Nyabata High wins NFT tournament

RENCO MINE- Nyabata High School are the winners of this year`s Nyajena Foundation Trust soccer trophy after walloping Tugwane High 2-0 in the final at Renco Mine recently.
Nyabata scored a goal in each half with the first one coming off a well taken corner kick by Blessed Makaka which was coolly headed into the net by Leeroy Mandizvidza and the last one came in the dying minutes after Planmore Eneya found Hopewell Zvoumba near the box who made no mistake by unleashing a thunderbolt to seal the win for the hosts.
Nyabata High coach David Maodza said that he was happy with the overall performance of his team although it was a tough tournament.
"I was very happy with the performance of the boys and I just hope they carry the same form to the upcoming tournaments. I would like to thank NFT for organizing such a tournament which helps players to showcase their talent," said the elated coach.
Planmore Eneya was named the player of the tournament.
Eight schools participated in the tournament and Nyabata, Magudu, Mudarikwa and Madzivanyika were in Group A. In group B was Tugwane, Chiwawa Nyikavanhu, and Maweza. In the semi- finals Nyabata won the match 1-0 against Chiwawa. Magudu lost to Tugwane 1-0 in extra time.
