CHIREDZI – A Malilangwe Conservancy security manager, Mike Ball who was indicted on murder charges by Magistrate Tayengwa Chibanda has not yet been arrested by the Police more than two years after the ruling.
Chibanda ruled that Ball and a subordinate Fibian Salani should be charged with murder after they shot and killed James Dumba on suspicion that he wanted to poach a rhino in December 2014.
The ruling made in June 2015 by Magistrate Chibanda followed an inquest which saw the court holding an inspection in loco in the conservancy to establish the circumstances which led to the death of Dumba who was a teacher at Makosiya Primary School in Chiredzi South.
A senior magistrate who declined to be named said he was aware of the indictment but that was as far as the courts can go because the actual arrest must be done by the Police.
Acting Masvingo Police Spokesperson Kudakwashe Dhewa said the police knows about the docket, but a follow up is being made in Chiredzi to establish whether it was  handed to the Police or it is still at the court.
Former friend of the deceased, Mike Chauke said justice delayed is justice denied. The Dumba family is eagerly waiting for the day in which the two suspects will be put to book.
However, sources at Chiredzi Police Station reliably told The Mirror that the docket was once sent to Ndali Police Station with instructions to arrest Ball and Salani but nothing materialized .crime
