FBC Bank partners Secretary’s Merit Award

MASVINGO – FBC Holdings has partnered with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education in supporting the Secretary's Merit Award.
This was said by FBC Holdings brand manager, Roy Nyakunuwa at the handover ceremony at Helen McGhie Primary School in Masvingo on Friday. He said the Bank has made education the cornerstone of its corporate social responsibility programmes and hence its support for the Merit Award.
In the process, the Bank supports universal access to education and high quality information and communication technology (ICT) based knowledge systems. Nyakunuwa added that one of his organisation's core values is lifelong learning and his group vigorously supports sustainable development in the education sector.
"It is for this reason that we are obliged to give back to the community through partaking in valuable community based initiatives such as the Secretary's Merit Awards," said Nyakunuwa.
He said that the bank has a number of financial solutions designed to meet the needs of schools. Some of them include lease financing loans to buy assets such as school buses, school generators, school trucks and farm equipment.
"Given the economic challenges prevailing in the country, we understand that a considerable number of schools maybe facing serious challenges mobilising financial resources for procuring important assets. As a result, we developed a wide spectrum of affordable lease financing services to cater for the needs of schools in the current economic environment," said Nyakunuwa
Some of the special accounts that schools can benefit from are the School Developer Account, FBC Savings Account, FBC Junior Saver Accounts and Fixed Deposits Account.
