Buhera RDC to auction 13 stray cattle

    MIRROR REPORTER

HARARE – The Buhera Rural District Council (RDC) will on August 1, 2017 auction 13 stray cattle and 9 goats at various business centres in the district, according to a notice issued out by the local authority.
The cattle and goats were recovered by the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
The council is also calling upon those who may be missing their cattle and goats to come and inspect the animals before the auction date. Those who can prove that the cattle or goats belong to them will be allowed to take them.
However, any inspection on the auction day will not be allowed, said the statement.
The auctions are happening at various business centres that include Muzadzi, Chigavakava, Chapwanya, Gwebu, Mutasa, Marenga, Bedza and Bika.
The auction is being held in accordance with Section 44 (4) of Stray Stock Act Chapter 19:14 as with the RDC Act 29:13 Section 76 (5) (6).
In addition to the cattle, the local authority will also auction two non-runner vehicles; a Toyota single cab and a Mazda SDX single cab. The auction takes place on Friday August 18 2017 and the buyer's card costs a non-refundable $50.
