Omar ill health rumours swirl in Mwenezi

MWENEZI –Just a few weeks absence from his Mwenezi East Constituency has sent rumours swirling around that MP Joosbi Omar is paralysed and in critical condition in hospital.
Social media groups in Mwenezi District are abuzz with the rumour and there are calls for people to pray for Omar.
However, Omar who spoke at a party to celebrate his election as Member of Parliament,  dismissed the rumours and said he was as fit as a fiddle and has been absent from the Constituency because he was working on development projects that he will launch soon.
In a message circulating on social media, people from Mwenezi East Constituency were told to pray for Omar as he was in a critical condition after he became paralysed on the right side of his body.
"I hear there is a message making rounds on social media that I am paralysed; let me tell you the truth that it is a lie. I am fit and fine as you can see and that is the reason why I took to the dance floor with the ZCC band.
"I danced to prove to you that I am fine. Those are falsehoods being spread by people who do not want development," said Omar while addressing hundreds of Zanu PF supporters during victory celebrations held at Neshuro High School in Sarahuro area last week.
"I am here today to celebrate with you the victory that you have brought, it was a collective effort. We are here to map the way forward on how best we can develop our area.
"I am looking forward to improving our roads, hospitals and schools. I value education because without it we cannot go anywhere in terms of development," said Omar.
