MURAMBINDA – A prominent Murambinda Business woman, Portia Mawoyo has donated uniforms to be used by a quiz team from Murambinda B Primary School.
The kit includes shoes, socks, skirts, trousers, shirts and blazers.
Mawoyo said she donated to the school team so that it will look smart on the day of the competitions. She added that she was proud to sponsor to the school because its pupils were putting the district on the map because of the marvelous performances.
"I decided to give the pupils uniforms so that when they go for the competitions, they will not be looked down upon. I want them to be confident. This school impresses all of us as it has qualified for competitions on several occasions," said Mawoyo.
Murambinda B Primary School headmaster, Manuel Mhuruyengwe accepted the donation and thanked Mawoyo.
Mhuruyengwe said in the past the pupils used to participate at Provincial and National levels in uniforms that were far below the expected standards.
"I want to thank Mrs Mawoyo for helping the school in motivating our gifted students. I am sure that in their high quality and bright uniforms they will be more confident in the competitions," he said.
Mawoyo together with Elija Mawoyo owns Elasto shops, hardware and night club at Murambinda Growth Point.
