ZVISHAVANE - Shabani FC chief striker Nelson Mazivisa recently left the country for trials with Zambian top flight team, Kabwe Warriors.
Mazivisa who won the Golden Boot in 2012 confirmed the development in a telephone interview with The Mirror. He said he was leaving for week-long trials with the team.
Mazivisa is currently in top form after rejoining Shabani from Triangle FC early this year. He has scored crucial goals in Premier League encounters.
"I hope I will make it there. As you know it is every player's dream to play in foreign land and get an opportunity to join big clubs abroad," said Mazivisa.
The 26 year old striker believes he will excel this year due to maturity and physic having failed to make it in a South African move in 2013/14.
"I have put the past behind and am a totally different player from what I was in 2013 when I failed on a move to south African,"said Mazivisa.
Shabani Technical Manager Taku Shariwa said he always wishes his boys well and hopes for the best.
"He is a key figure in our squad and I wish him well. It is our dream as a club to produce quality football stars that will shine across the globe. Shabani has produced players like Francis Chandida, Thomas Makwasha, Zvenyika Makonese among others, so it's good to be a chocolate factory of football," said a delightful Shariwa.
After clinching the 2012 Golden Boot, Mazivisa rejoined FC Platinum before playing for Hwahwa and Triangle FC but was never that impressive until his return to Chinda Boys this season.
