    Mberengwa moans Dr Gumbo’s son


    MBERENGWA - Thousands of people across Mberengwa thronged Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Dr Joram Gumbo's homestead in Mpesi village to bid farewell to the Minister's departed son Doctor Jeremy Gumbo who died in South Africa last Thursday.
    Jeremy who was born in 1969 worked at Chris Hani Hospital after completing his PhD studies at Witswatersrand University last year. All Mberengwa chiefs including Matyebadza, Mposi, Ngungumbane, Maziofa, Nyamhondera turned up for the funeral.
    Vice President Emerson Mnangagwa gave a speech on behalf of President Mugabe and he described Jeremy as a hard-working person who focused on his education and country.
    Mnangagwa was accompanied to Mberengwa by Zimbabwe Defence Forces Commander, General Constantino Chiwenga, his wife Mary, Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Minister Chris Mushohwe, Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa, Labour Minister Prisca Mupfumira and numerous Government officials.
    Jeremy left behind his wife and three children.
