CHIREDZI – Former MP and Zanu PF aspiring candidate for Chiredzi North Constituency Ronald Ndava has donated 120 bags of cement worth $1 200 for the repair of small bridges in Mukazi – Mukwazi Resettlment areas in Ward 24.
Ndava unveiled the donation during a Cottco Outreach Event held at Mukazi Resettlement Area recently. He said the Mukazi – Mukwazi Road is now impassable due to the incessant rains which the country recently received hence the problem can be lessened if the community can find cement to repair small bridges along the road. He said he made the donation because he has a home in the area and is also continuing with developmental projects he left uncompleted when he was still the MP for the area.
"As former MP I am concerned with the state of the roads which are now impassable due to heavy rains. I have a home in Chiredzi North so the area should not be left behind in-terms of development hence the need for me to assist. I am donating a total of 120 bags and currently I brought a receipt of 50 bags which can be collected by the community at any time. I will continue assisting the community so that we play our part before looking for government assistance" said Ndava.
