ZINWA issues statement against former employee

CHIKOMBA – Zinwa has notified the public that Marufu Muvaki is no longer its employee and has called upon the public in Chivhu or any other part of the country to stop carrying out any business with him.
There are allegations that Muvaki, a former Zinwa employee was recently dismissed for  misconduct and was frustrating the parastal's work including sabotaging the work of the new Zinwa head at Mvuma, Ndoya.
Muvaki is allegedly misinforming Zinwa clients on issues to do with water problem in the transit town.
Efforts to get a comment from Muvaki were fruitless.
In a statement, Zinwa Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager Marjorie Munyonga accused Muvaki of masquerading as a Zinwa official and misinforming residents on water related issues.
She said Muvaki's contract of employment with Zinwa was terminated on January 30, this year after a protracted disciplinary process and since his dismissal, Muvaki who is a fairly well known figure in Chivhu has allegedly continued to conduct himself as a Zinwa employee.
She alleged that Muvaki was causing confusion to consumers.
"Zinwa appeals both to its existing and potential clients in Chivhu and other parts of the country to ensure that their dealings with the authority whether in making payments, reporting breakdowns or applying for water connection are conducted with bona fide employees of the authority. The authority further advises the public that it will not take responsibility for any dealings or transactions held or done with non employees including Muvaki," said Munyonga.
