CHIKOMBA – Chivhu which is yet to have a town status will have its first robots soon, the Minister of Industry and Commerce and MP for Chikomba West, Mike Bimha has said.
Without disclosing the monetary figures involved on the project, Bimha said Mimosa Mining Company was going to assist with financial resources.
The robots are to be erected at the intersection of Chivhu-Murambinda and Chivhu-Harare roads.
Bimha said this during a meeting held at the council offices two weeks ago. He said he had to look for partners for the project because he is aware of the precarious financial positions of local authorities throughout the country owing to a number of challenges including that of the bad state of roads which needs to be attended to.
He was also greatful to Mimosa for assisting in the electrification of Nyamhere, Manyene in Chivhu.
