    President appoints new Chief Chizungu

MBERENGWA - President Robert Mugabe has appointed Komex Tshuma as the new substantive Chief Chizungu (Mberengwa west).
This follows the death of Chief Rex Tshuma two years ago.
Before the appointment of Komex Tshuma, the late chief Chizungu's son Evans was the acting chief.
Mberengwa District Administrator, White Nkoma confirmed the development.
"President Mugabe has officially appointed Tshuma as the new substantive Chief Chizungu. We are expecting to hold an installation ceremony that will be graced by other chiefs and Government officials among other dignitaries by the end of January this year," said Nkoma.
Chief Chizungu is one of the chiefs that have a large area of jurisdiction in Mberengwa West covering areas such as Phoenix, Chizungu, Mangena, Masase among other areas.
Meanwhile, the installation of Chief Masunda (Luckson Nyoni) in Zvishavane is still to be announced after the November 2016 date was cancelled since the month is regarded as sacred.
