    Mukaro High School headmaster’s father dies


    CHIRUMANZU - Thomas Severino Mazhunga who is father to Mukaro High School headmaster has died.
    The late Mazhunga died from a heart problem at his homestead in Sango Village in Chirumanzu District on Wednesday last week at the age of 81. He was buried on Saturday.
    His son Aquanos Mazhunga confirmed the death to The Mirror and said that Mazhunga was born in 1936 in Chirumanzu. He went to Holy Cross Mission in Chirumanzu for his standard six and then joined Drifontein Mission for a building course in the 1950s. In the late 50s he went to do his teaching course at Gokomere Mission and taught building at St Joseph's Hama Mission in the 1970s.
    Mazhunga also taught at Maponda Primary School and he became a headmaster at Hwata Primary School before transferring to Mazvimba Primary School where he retired from in 1999.
    He left his wife, eight children and many grandchildren.
