Chikomba RDC head up for disciplinary hearing

CHIKOMBA - Chikomba Rural District Council (RDC) head of Social Services Department, Solomon Taruvinga has been hauled before a disciplinary hearing.
Chikomba RDC CEO Luckson Mutara confirmed the story but declined to give further details. The hearing was chaired by council chairman Pardon Mudzima.
Taruvinga faced several allegations and these were read to him at a hearing held on Monday. He was asked to account for $50 that went missing; he was accused of exchanging harsh words with the Assistant Internal Auditor Bonface Madhuveko and the Engineer Shingai Machinga.
However, the biggest case could be that he is suspected of furnishing the newly formed Chikomba Residents and Rate Payers' Alliance with classified information.
It was not clear whether he has already been fired as there were conflicting statements to that effect.
Taruvinga said he was in good books with his superiors and declined to comment further.
