BEITBRIDGE- St Joseph's Primary School in Beitbridge has broken its own record by having four candidates in the 2016 Grade seven examinations scoring four points each.
They also increased their pass rate from 87% in 2015 to 98% in 2016.
The record breaking pupils are Tobius Goronga, Fortunate Muchamisa, Sharon Masitlera and Mulalo Ncube.
"This year's record is at 98% and this is a big improvement in the quality of the results.
"In 2015 we had a single candidate with five units as our best therefore, these three girls and a boy with four units is a sign of great improvement," said Addmore  Mugari the school head.
Mugari pointed out that boys have a more casual approach to education as compared to girls, which could be the reason why the females performed better than their counterparts.
"Apart from encouraging boys to take their school work seriously, we will continue striving for quality through holiday and weekend lessons," he said.
The school has 1489 students from ECD to Grade seven levels.
