Nurse who ‘took’ pics of woman in labour appears for hearing

CHIVI – Tsitsi Nyandoro (39) a midwifery nurse at Chivi District Hospital
who is accused of having taken pictures of a woman in labour in the
ward has appeared before a disciplinary hearing, The Mirror has been told.
It is understood that she appeared before a hearing last Friday after a
directive for the process to be carried out was sent from Harare. This followed
a report that appeared in The Mirror.
A reliable source said three witnesses called to give evidence all exonerated
her.The allegations were that the nurse took labour pictures of a woman who
was having an affair with her friend's husband. Allegations were that she
then handed over the pics to the friend.
Efforts to get a comment from the provincial medical director Dr Amadeus
Shamu were fruitless as he was not answering his phone. The source confirmed that a directive was sent from Harare following the publication of the story in The
Mirror. "The hearing was held last Friday where there were three witnesses from the hospital who all denied having seen Nyandoro taking the pictures.
"It was concluded that the hospital authorities will have to wait for the Police to conclude their investigations for the way forward as they are treating the matter as a serious offence if proved to be true," said the source. Francisca Mugadzikwa who is the complainant in the case reported the matter at Chivi Police Station last
    month under RRB No//2796852.crime news
