    Unki worker fined $100 for assaulting girlfriend


    GWERU - A married man employed at Unki Mine was dragged to court by his girlfriend Rebecca Mutoro after he assaulted her on suspicion that she was dating another man.
    Karundayi Karundayi (40) found Mutoro sitting in her room with a man whom she introduced as a friend. Karundayi beat up the complainant on suspicion that the man was her boyfriend. The matter was heard by magistrate Tendai Madanire.
    The State represented by Chipo Ncube told the court that on November 16, 2016 at around 9pm Mutoro of Mkoba 13 was assaulted by the accused with open hands four times on the face.
    Though the complainant did not sustain any visible injuries the accused was slapped with a three month imprisonment term suspended on condition he pays $100 fine.
