    TelOne’s Chipo Mutasa visits Lowveld

CHIREDZI - TelOne managing director, Chipo Mutasa and her entire top team were in Chiredzi recently where they met stakeholders and announced a $98 million loan the company accessed from China and was keen on using it on improving service in the Lowveld.
The visit was also intended to get feedback on TelOne's products and services from clients.
"I am happy to announce to you that Chiredzi is a critical area for us and this is why you see the whole team here. We accessed a $98m loan from China and Chiredzi is in our plans as a top priority to benefit from this loan. We want the lowveld to be connected more than it is at the moment. We have various packages which are affordable to different groups" said Mutasa.
Different organisations were given chances to present their cases and a number of concerns were put forward by clients.
Zimbabwe Tourism Authority called for efficient attendance to breakdowns, increase in programmes to educate publics on offered services and products, universal accessibility and flexibility.
South Eastern College challenged Netone to provide uninterrupted connections for smooth running of online exams which they said they were going to establish soon. The college also asked for a reduction in rates for schools as well as increased reliability in connectivity.
Chiredzi Town Council representative Charles Muchaniwa emphasised on the issue of good customer care, equipment of technicians with adequate tools, reduction of internet charges as well as increased speed of services.
In concluding, Mutasa thanked everyone for their participation and honest remarks. She promised that the concerns will be dealt with as soon as possible.
