    Midlands Christian College cashier in $46 000 fraud


    GWERU – A cashier with the Midlands Christian College has appeared in court facing theft charges involving $46 286 25.
     Rumbidzai Gora (40) was arrested on Monday on allegations that she received but did not bank the said funds in the school account.
    It is alleged that from January to November 2016 the cashier received $84, 840 on different occasions from clients meant for banking in the school account.
    However Gora only banked $35 915 43 and converted $ 46 286 75 to her own use and this was unearthed through an audit and the matter was reported to the Police.
     The case was heard by magistrate Judith Taruvinga.Gora was granted $ 200 bail for theft charges and the matter was remanded to December 6, 2016.
