Gutu United won the music competitions and St Joseph won the traditional dance competitions where Masvingo Provincial Education Director (PED) Zedias Chitiga was the guest of honour.
The Jikinya competitions were sponsored by Delta Beverages, National Arts Council (NAC) and NAPH.
'I am very happy with the win, and the support received from NAPH although it was tough we managed to romp home to victory at the national level,' said Taurai Mukege a traditional dance specialist from St Joseph.
The other results for traditional dance competitions were, Mkhithika Primary from Bulawayo second position, Rujeko Primary from Manicaland in position three and Maringire from Masvingo Province on fourth position.
For their efforts St Joseph pocketed $1200 and a trip to South Africa, Mkhithika got $1000, Rujeko got $700 and Maringire got $500 and all the schools received $150 appearance prize money.
Chitiga paid tribute to traditional sponsors Delta Beverages for their continued support despite the difficult environment in partnership with (NAC) and NAPH.
"We feel greatly honoured to be hosting the national choral and traditional dance competitions as a Province
'The competitions went on well with all provinces well represented. As a province we are so excited with the win as we have  improved so much from last year when we came out on nineth position in dance competitions and first in music' said Patrick Mashapa NAPH provincial chairperson.
